About this website and its author...
I am a young man living in Anchorage, Alaska. My wife and I are the proud parents of two little boys, and I'm the youth coordinator at a Lutheran church in town. As my faith journey has progressed, I've become more and more intrigued by the intersection of spirituality and culture. I am learning that the interaction between the two entities is extraordinarily complex and far-reaching. As the world around us rapidly changes, it is the duty of people of faith to examine their beliefs in light of these ever-changing cultural forces. That is the purpose of this website. Several years ago, I found myself needing to put my thoughts on faith and culture into words. The journey of putting personal beliefs onto paper has proven an intense and unsettling experience. Before letting a paragraph rest on the page, I was forced to question myself on everything I believed to be true. I was forced to wrestle with questions I had never asked myself before concerning the Bible, the world around us, evil, and living a faithful life. If nothing else, the experience has allowed me to search deeply for truth. Only God knows if I've found any.
